I was classically trained over 5 years at The City and Guilds of London, Chelsea College of Art and Les Beaux Arts in Paris. I started painting murals whilst at art school, which led onto designing and painting backgrounds for food photography. Much of my early work then revolved around charcoals, particularly of animals in motion, and I still occasionally return to this medium. My real passion is painting land and seascapes, interiors and interesting settings, whether they be a courtyard or a cluster of olive trees, all in oil.

I live on the edge of the Cotswolds and work from my studio at home with our three dogs, although I prefer to get out into the countryside and paint en plein air whenever I am able to. I had a break from my career whilst my four children including triplets were growing up, although I kept my eye in with mainly commissioned work.

My style has evolved over the years to my current oil paintings, which are inspired by various artists from the post-impressionist movement to the present day. Whether painting in my studio or outside, I try to capture the colours and shapes of my subjects through light and shadows. I have also taken to painting interiors, trying to bring to life rooms, people and dogs with all their individual idiosyncrasies.

I now exhibit with the Russell Gallery in Putney, McAllister Thomas Fine Art in Godalming, in addition to my local gallery, the Fosse Gallery in Stow-on-the-Wold, where I've been exhibiting for many years.

I will happily undertake private commissions. Please contact me should you wish to discuss anything in particular.
